In my opinion, an algorithm is only beneficial to understand if you first vibe to what you do.
When you enjoy to what you create, stressing over an algorithm seems ridiculous.
When you don’t enjoy what you do, it’s easy to create for the wrong reasons.
Sadly, most creatives are forcing the process—they expect microwaved results overnight.
These short-sighted, shortcut-seeking souls may think it’s possible to cheat the process.
When in reality, some important parts of this big picture game rely on patiently…
Laying the foundation of your mindset, hard skills, AND your craft over time.
I’ve been extremely fortunate to connect with many industry-leading juggernauts over the years…
Spoiler alert, none of them blew up overnight.
In fact, they spent years, if not decades building their launchpad before finally stumbling across their “Big Break.”
I’ve observed that most chose to pursue some super unsexy things early on—things that most creatives try to avoid.

1. They slowed things down and simplified the game.
I’ve learned the hard way, that moving 100 mph in a million directions isn’t a realistic strategy.
Most likely, you’re putting yourself on the fast track to burnout.
The best results happen for me and my students when we slow down so we can grow fast.
2. They connected with themselves in their work.
If you don’t vibe to what you do, why should someone else?
It’s hard for someone to connect with what you do…
When the work is being forced by an internal imposter.
3. They didn’t obsess over monetization right away.
The dream is to get paid to play creating work you enjoy and are good at, right?
I speak from experience that it massively helps to first learn how to chase the play before chasing the pay.

It’s hella powerful to explore areas of high interest/fulfillment combined with blossoming/strong skills.
When you overlap a great passion + a strength, this is what I call “Working within your Sweet Spot.”
As you gain traction within this lane, opportunity and demand tend to find you building!
5. They focused on building relationships.
Behind every door of opportunity that’s opened for you…
There’s someone on the other side holding that door open.
Relationships are everything—pour into others and value their time + knowledge.
What You Don’t See
When you're lost in the scroll comparing yourself to someone slaying it...
You only see:
The sexy numbers and not the unsexy process that led to the results.
Them crushing it in interviews effortlessly talking about themselves and their work.
Every piece of their work immediately selling out as "Their work speaks for itself."
However, what you don’t see is:
The number of years they were grindin' when no one paid attention.
The hours they poured into their craft while building relationships behind the scenes.
The stumbling over words as they tried to share their story and their process.
Your "heroes" all were once rookies who struggled and failed.
Often our greatest W's can only come from stackin' a mountain of L's.
You can't cheat the process.
You can’t skip the fundamentals of building a successful creative art biz.
But you can slow down and build things intentionally to grow fast.
Results compound over time—when in doubt, zoom out.
